  August 2004 Animage Scans

Pull-out poster.
This is an image that I DIDN'T scan myself - The wonderful Andrea scanned it and posted it to the Megami ML.

Image Cross-Reference: Prototype Magazine vol. 2.

  January 2005 Animage Scans

Scanned by Maiyura.
This second illustration is just so weird-looking. I love the first illustration, though.

Image Cross-Reference: Hidenori Matsubara Artworks artbook scan, a Canvas Totebag, and a DVD Screenshot.

Belldandy rocks. Sorry that the colors suck. Buy the magazine if you can - Belldandy looks much nicer in person than she does captured on my scanner. The last image is ripped from the new version of the official TBS website, just to show what Belldandy's colors are supposed to look like in comparison. Oh, and for a REAL good scan of this pic, check out the cross-reference below.

Image Cross-Reference: Hidenori Matsubara Artworks artbook scan (textless, waaaaaaay better scan!).

Wow, this illustration is just so... weird. I think that Belldandy just looks weird, it's hard for me to put my finger on why, though. The interview on page 88 is between Kikoku Inoue and Takano Urara.

Advertisement for "Variety Album" 1 and 2.
This illustration is the same as the cover art for the collector's box that comes with the first of three "Variety Albums" for the TV series. Each Variety album includes a mix of drama tracks and character image songs.

Cross-Reference: Hidenori Matsubara Artworks artbook scan, Variety Album Collector's Box, and a bootleg DVD boxset.

Sketch by Hidenori Matsubara.
Hooray for Tamiya and Ootaki! They don't get nearly enough appreciation, in my opinion.
