Spread, pages 30-31
This image wasn't very pretty to begin with - I dunno what's up with the ugly striped background or the expression on Keiichi's face. Probably my least favorite magazine spread so far.

Again, blargh at the colors. Something about Belldandy's skin tone just doesn't work with my scanner.

Hey, the colors actually turned out right this time! Urd in particular turned out rather nicely, despite my scanner.

Kikoku Inoue Cosplay pinup.
Kikoku Inoue *is* Belldandy. It goes without saying that these photographs are much nicer in person, but such are the limitations of my scanner. |

Finally, it's Marller! Except that she looks psychotic and cross-eyed in this illustration. (*sigh*) Hopefully we'll see some better illustrations of Marller before the TV series finishes it run. Skuld doesn't look particularly flattering here, either. |

Special insert, page 101.
Here are a scattering of recent character designs from the anime (young Urd!), and an interview with the three goddess seiyuu.

Wow, I really don't like this image - I think that the artist screwed up Belldandy's upper lip, and made it look like she has a harelip. Also, Belldandy's stomach looks collapsed. Ew! Anyway, this month I didn't bother to scan the special insert page that came with this issue of Animedia, because save for a very short interview with Takahashi Yoko, there wasn't much interesting on it. |

Pullout poster and spread illustration
The girls look lovely in their swimsuits, don't they? Also, I really love the illustration of Belldandy in her manga-style combat outfit. (Personally, I think that this getup is much prettier than what she actually ended up wearing during the final episodes of the anime.)

Spread, and interview with Hidenori Matsubara
Uh-oh, it looks like someone forgot to erase some of the background behind Urd's hair... In this interview, Matsubara-sensei talks about his work with Ah! My Goddess, Sakura Taisen 5, and Gankutsuou.

Cheaters! The cover illustration of this magazine is recycled from a couple years before, when the Ah! My Goddess movie came out. I'm not sure if the interior illustration is also recycled or not, but it certainly looks like it was drawn in the older, movie style. |
