Mara's Japanese Voice

Image: Takano Urara. Takano Urara is the voice actress who provided Mara's voice in the Tokuten Ou CD, the Mini-Goddess anime, the video games, and in the 2005-2006 Ah! My Goddess TV anime series.

She has also voiced the characters of Maria Tachibana in Sakura Taisen (another Kosuke Fujishima creation), Tiger and Yumeiji in the Saber Marrionette J series, and has performed many other roles in anime and video games as well. She has also acted onstage as Maria Tachibana in the Sakura Taisen musicals. In addition, she has performed the opening themes for various Sakura Taisen anime, and one of the ending themes for Saber Marionette J Again. Urara is also a fluent English speaker. She has added her voice to the English dubs of Pokemon and Bubblegum Crisis, and is also the English voice director for the first Sakura Taisen OAV series dub.

Interestingly, Takano Urara has also provided the voice for Ms. Sara Bellum in the Japanese dub of The Powerpuff Girls. She has also done work dubbing American live-action television shows into Japanese. Some of her roles include Reese in Malcolm in the Middle and Nikita in La Femme Nikita. She has also done dub work on American movies released on Japanese DVD, including roles in High Crimes and Crazy Days.
